Madonna will unleash the greatest hits album "Celebration" on Sept. 29 in the U.S.
The Warner Bros. collection will include hits from the Queen of Pop's entire career and boast two new songs. One of those, the title track, was recently recorded in New York and co-produced by Madonna and Paul Oakenfold. It will serve as the set's first single and is scheduled to hit radio airwaves on Aug. 3. Remixes of the tune will be serviced to dance club DJs tomorrow (July 24).
It is rumored that the effort's other new song is titled "Revolver" and is a collaboration with Lil Wayne. A demo version of the song -- without Madonna's vocals -- has been floating around YouTube since May.
While the tracklist for "Celebration" has yet to be announced, one can imagine a bevy of Madonna's Billboard Hot 100 hits will be included. On the Hot 100 chart, she has racked up a record 37 top 10 singles -- more than any other act in the tally's nearly 51-year history. Of those hits, 12 of them went all the way to No. 1.
In a press release, her label confirmed that "Celebration" will contain songs "remastered and selected by Madonna and her fans" including "Everybody," "Express Yourself," "Vogue" and "4 Minutes."
The press release announcing "Celebration" touts that the DVD is set to include some of Madonna's iconic video clips that have "never before been available on DVD." (Perhaps the too-hot-for-MTV "Justify My Love?")
Whitney Houston held a listening event for her upcoming album, "I Look To You," last night (July 21) at Lincoln Center's Allen Room in New York City. Hosted by Clive Davis, the event was attended by Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, L.A. Reid, Martha Stewart, Diane Sawyer, Gayle King, Steve Harvey, Monica, R. Kelly, Vivica Fox and Freddie Jackson, among many others.
A total of nine songs off the album were played, starting with the Beatz-produced and Keys-penned "Million Dollar Bill," a club-friendly track which finds Houston belting lyrics like, "if he makes you feel like a million dollar bill, say oh oh."
Other songs premiered at the event included a cover of the Leon Russell track, "A Song For You" and the R. Kelly-written "Salute." R. Kelly also wrote the title track, produced by Tricky Stewart and Harvey Mason Jr.
A similar event was held in London last week.
Here is the track-listing for "I Look For You":
"Million Dollar Bill" "Nothin' But Love" "Call You Tonight" "I Look To You" "Like I Never Left" (featuring Akon) "A Song For You" "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" "Worth It" "For The Lovers" "I Got You" (Article via billboard.com)

Sources have confirmed to Billboard that a deal between the Michael Jackson Estate, AEG Live and Sony for a theatrical release of the Michael Jackson rehearsal footage from the ill-fated This Is It concerts could close today, though there are still some "unsettled terms" that are being negotiated. In fact, the deal is in such flux that it could shift to another studio by the end of the day. According to the source, Sony Music may co-invest with one of the film studios on this release, including Sony Pictures.
The This Is It special has been conceived as a tribute to MJ featuring Janet, The Jackson 5, and other major performers. The source says Joe Jackson has been shopping his own Jackson Family special on MJ's birthday on Aug. 29, which neither Janet Jackson nor the Jackson brothers have agreed to.
After 10 years and 10 straight No. 1 singles, Brad Paisley has got it down: He knows what his fans want and he gives it to them. His well-crafted new album is no different. Paisley hits all the right notes, literally and figuratively, weighing in on skinny dippin', beer, fishing, technology, children and women, among other all-American topics. "Then," a multiweek No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, speaks to long-lasting love and adoration and may be this decade's "Amazed." The soulful "Oh Yeah, You're Gone," which features blues rocker (and co-writer) Robben Ford, is the album's pearl and shows a side of Paisley he's rarely revealed. There's plenty of his trademark humor here as well. On "The Pants" he gleefully hands out sage advice to a stubborn man: "It's not who wears the pants, it's who wears the skirt." ~Ken Tucker
According to Billboard, albums by the pop singer -- who died suddenly last week at the age of 50 -- will occupy nine of the top 10 spots on the Top Pop Catalog Album chart being released on Wednesday.
Jackson's album "Number Ones" was No. 1 on sales of 108,000 copies during the week which ended on June 28 followed by "The Essential Michael Jackson" and "Thriller" on sales of 102,000 and 101,000 respectively.
Billboard, in an article on Billboard.com, said that last week, "Number Ones" was the only Jackson title on the chart. It was at No. 20 on sales of 4000 copies.
Billboard said Jackson's 1979 "Off the Wall" was at No. 4 on sales of 33,000 copies followed by "Bad" on sales of 17,000.
The Jackson 5's "The Ultimate Collection" was fifth on sales of 18,000 copies followed by "Dangerous," "Greatest Hits: HIStory - Volume 1" and "The Ultimate Collection".
Billboard said the only non-Jackson-related album in the top 10 was a reissue of the soundtrack from the movie "Woodstock", which was at No. 10 on sales of 8,000 copies.
Billboard said Jackson's solo albums sold 415,000 copies this past week compared with sales of just 10,000 copies in the week that ended June 21.
Billboard noted that sales of the top three selling Jackson albums were higher during the week than that of the best-selling album on the Billboard 200 charts, "The E.N.D." by the Black Eyed Peas, which sold 88,000 copies.
